5. Early ArkansasPeople Who Changed the Course of History: We have discussed many people that have played important roles in our state’s history from the first explorers of Spanish and European descent to others key people and groups that made significant impacts early on. Pottery and stone artifacts proves habitation in Arkansas dates back as early as 9500 BC. Around 5000-4000 BC the native people dwelled here. The native tribes that dwelled here included the Folsom people, Bluff Dwellers, Mound Builders, Caddos, Quapaws, Osage, Choctaw and Cherokee. Disease, drought, and ambitious explorers are some of the reasons given for the annihilation. Listed below are several men of many who considerably changed the course of history in Arkansas. During your research find an image, picture or video of three of these men to include in your movie. You will also have to add text or voice to tell the name of the evidence and the importance.
